Alexander Popov Appointed Director General and Management Board Chairman of Itera Oil and Gas Company
Alexander Popov is appointed Director General and Chairman of the Management Board of Itera Oil and Gas Company LLC. The new head has a task to efficiently integrate Itera's assets into OJSC Oil Company Rosneft's structure in order to gradually implement the company's gas strategy aimed at substantial gas reserves monetization and increasing Rosneft's shareholder value.
Notes for Editors: Alexander Pavlovich Popov was born on June 6, 1965, in Rovnoe settlement in the Ochakovo District of the Nikolaev Region. In 1988 he graduated from the Tyumen Lenin's Komsomol Industrial Institute with a degree in Drilling oil and gas wells. He started work as a 3rd grade oil and gas extraction and prospecting well driller assistant at the Nefteyugansk Drilling Department No. 1 of the Yuganskneftegaz Production Association, a subdivision of Glavtyumenneftegaz. From 1994 to 2001 he held different engineering posts in OJSC Varyeganeftegaz, CJSC Zapsibneftegazdobycha and LLC Zapsibgazprom. From 2001 to 2006 he worked as Chief Engineer and Deputy Director General at OJSC Severneftegazprom. From 2008 to 2011 he held the post of OJSC Severneftegazprom’s Director General and later Director General of LLC VostokGazInvest. Later he worked as an aide to Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation I.I. Sechin. From May 2012 to July 2013 he headed the Federal Subsoil Agency. |
