5th Future of Rosneft Student Fair to be Held in Moscow

On 6 – 9 February 2013, Moscow will host the 5th Future of Rosneft Student Fair. It is one the main events for students that have graduated from Rosneft Classes. 120 of the best students from 22 of the Company’s partner universities have been invited to take part in the fair. The best students were picked through business games held at the universities and an essay competition about the profession.

One of the aims of the fair is to create and foster a community of students who have graduated from Rosneft Classes and develop ties between students and the Rosneft subsidiaries that will employ them, as well as sharing new knowledge and skills that the specialists will need to work in the Company.

The Future of Rosneft Fair gives students the opportunity to prepare interesting and exciting career guidance materials that will be useful for students and graduates of Rosneft Classes when entering specialised universities and for subsequent work in the Company.

The fair will include a business game, Rosneft Evolution, a simulator that models the business functions of a specialist, beginning from studies at university. The fair will also include creative workshops to produce print and multimedia career guidance materials.

Professional designers, gaming technicians and copywriters will work with participants throughout the entire competition.

Rosneft works closely with 27 leading institutions of higher education in Russia. The Company’s long-standing partners are: the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, Lomonosov Moscow State University (geology faculty), St Petersburg University Graduate School of Management, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, MGIMO (International Institute of Energy Policy), Siberian Federal University and Tyumen State Oil and Gas University, as well as other educational institutions in the country. The Company also runs a special programme to help young specialists get to grips with working at Rosneft facilities, which includes the practice of mentoring. HR departments work with mentors to develop individual career programmes for the young specialists. By being actively involved in scientific and engineering developments at scientific and technical conferences, the young specialists can play an active role at their facilities and improve their professional skills. 1,401 young specialists took part in various scientific and technical conferences in 2012. 51 of the works produced by winners and nominees at the Inter-Regional Scientific and Technical Conference are being practically implemented. .
