Russian Delegation Led by Rosneft President Igor Sechin Begins Work in Venezuela
A Russian delegation led by Rosneft President Igor Sechin began work in Venezuela on 29 January. During the visit Igor Sechin, President and Chairman of the Management Board at Rosneft, will hold talks with Diosdado Cabello, head of Venezuela’s National Assembly, Venezuelan Vice President Nicolás Maduro, Rafael Ramírez, Venezuelan Oil and Mineral Resources Minister, Elias Jaua, Venezuelan Foreign Minister and representatives of state oil and gas company PDVSA.
The discussions will cover a wide range of issues in bilateral energy and economic partnership.
In addition to senior managers from Rosneft, the Russian delegation also includes representatives from Rosoboronexport and Russian Technologies, as well as an INTER RAO UES delegation, representatives from RusHydro, Uralmash Oil and Gas Equipment Holding, Kamaz and Russian bankers and businessmen.
Members of the delegation will hold talks and working meetings with Venezuelan Defence Minster Diego Molero Bellavia, National Bank Chairman Nelson Merentes, Electric Power Minister Hector Navarro Diaz and Agriculture Minister Juan Carlos Loyo.
