Discovery of a new field within Uvat project
A new field within Zapadno-Gerasimovsky license block was discovered by Rosneft subsidiary Uvatneftegaz. On completion of prospecting well testing on Bolsheparfenovsky square recoverable oil totaled 3.0 million tons in the C1 and C2 categories.
The field is planned to be called the Tavricheskoe. As for geological prospecting work in 2014 Uvatneftegaz is considering drilling of the second prospecting well. It is expected that on completion of its testing, recoverable oil at the field will significantly increase. Approbation of the reserves at the new field and entering of the reserves on the balance sheet of State Committee for Mineral Reserves of the Russian Federation is planned for this August.
In 2013, as a result of geological prospecting work within Uvat project, there were discovered three new fields: Severo-Keumskoe, Kirilkinskoe, and Rezvovskoe. Rosneft is consistently implementing the program aimed at broadening of hydrocarbon resource base. Development of new promising projects is one of the key strategic goals for sustained growth of the Company.
