Vankorneft Started Commissioning Work for Gas Supply to the Unified Gas Supply System
Rosneft subsidiary Vankorneft started commissioning work «under pressure» with gas supply to the main gas pipeline.
Currently there have been commissioned three gas compressor units of high-pressure gas compressor station, and gas treatment is in progress at gas treatment unit. Gas passes quantity and quality measurement system before gas supply to the main gas pipeline.
Within the frames of implementation of the Vankor field gas program, there have been constructed a 108 km main gas pipeline ‘Vankor - Khalmerpayutinskoye field’, high-pressure gas compressor stations, gas treatment units, and intra-field gas pipelines. Gas facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities with control and monitoring systems of manufacturing processes.
Implementation of all facilities involved into sales of the Vankor field associated petroleum gas will ensure annual delivery of up to 5.6 billion cubic meters of gas to the unified gas supply system, and 95% efficiency of the APG utilization.
Phased implementation of gas program facilities has been carried out at the Vankor field since the beginning of the development. For instance, electrical power and heat for the field needs have been generated by the Vankor gas turbine electric power station with capacity of 200 MW since 2010. APG reinjection in place is carried out to maintain reservoir pressure.
Notes for Editors:
Vankorneft carries out the development of the Vankor oil, gas and condensate field in the northern part of Krasnoyarsk Territory, in Turukhansky and Taimyr municipal districts. Commercial production at the Vankor field began in August 2009. There have been extracted over 78 million tons of oil from the beginning of the production. The initial recoverable reserves of oil are 499 million tons, and the initial recoverable reserves of gas are 182 billion cubic meters.
In November 2013, the enterprise was approved as an operator for the development of new fields of the Vankor cluster, including Suzunskoye, Tagulskoye, and Lodochnoye fields.
