RN-Aero Strengthens Partnership Relations with Greek Companies
The Rosneft subsidiary RN-Aero signed contracts for fueling of aircrafts with several Greek airlines: Bird Airways, Astra Airlines, and Ellinair.
Expansion of business geography is the priority of RN-Aero business activity.
RN-Aero will be fueling aircrafts of Astra Airlines at Arkhangelsk, Stavropol, and Vnukovo airports. It is worth noting that in 2013 the companies concluded a contract for fueling of aircrafts at Mineralnye Vody, Vnukovo, and Arkhangelsk airports. As at the year-end 2013, total volume of fueling amounted to 613 tons.
In May 2014, RN-Aero started fueling Ellinair aircrafts at Mineralnye Vody airport. The contract for fueling of aircrafts was concluded in 2013.
In 2014, RN-Aero also won a tender to fuel Blue Bird Airways aircrafts. The companies have been successfully cooperating for several years. Their partnership started in 2012 when the companies concluded a contract for fueling of aircrafts at Vnukovo and Rostov-on-Don airports. As of the end of the year, total volume of Blue Bird Airways fueling amounted to 1380 tons.

Blue Bird Airways is a young Greek airline company established in 2008 in Heraklion (Crete, Greece). The company carries out domestic, international, regular, and charter passenger air travel. The priority destinations of the airline are Greece, Russia, Israel, and Turkey.
Astra Airlines is a Greek airline company based at Thessaloniki International Airport «Macedonia» in Greece. The company was founded in 2008. It conducts flights to more than 30 destinations, operates internal flights in Greece, and international flights to Germany, Ukraine, and Russia. The main hub airport is represented by Thessaloniki.
Ellinair is a Greek airline based at Thessaloniki International Airport «Macedonia». In February 2013, Mouzenidis Group holding significantly expanded its range of activities by creation of its own airline Ellinair. The air carrier operates charter flights of Mouzenidis Travel tour operator form Greek resorts in Thessaloniki and Corfu to Russia.
Rosneft activity in jet fuel business is carried out by its subsidiary RN-Aero. In 2013, Rosneft became one of the leading companies on the Russian market by the volume of jet fuel sales, when delivered more than 3.2 million tons of fuel. Yet, volumes of aircraft fueling of airlines increased by 20% from 1.8 million tons to almost 2.2 million tons compared to 2012.
Rosneft carries out operational control over fueling complexes at Sheremetyevo, Sochi, Krasnoyarsk, Gelendzhik, Anapa, Rostov-on-Don, and Abakan. There also have been created storage cards at Domodedovo and Yakutsk airports. As of the current date, Rosneft fuels aircrafts ‘in the wing’ at 27 airports at the territory of the Russian Federation.
