Eastern Development Center of Uvat Project Produced the 30-millionth Ton of Oil
Rosneft subsidiary Uvatneftegaz produced the 30-millionth ton of oil at Eastern Development Center of Uvat project. Record keeping has been carried out since the beginning of the development of the Urnenskoe and Ust-Tegusskoe fields in 2007.
Eastern Development Center is the primary center for Uvat project, and is indicative of its sustainable development. 85% of Uvatneftegaz production comes from the Ust-Tegusskoe and Urnenskoe fields. Since the beginning of 2014 there has been produced 5.6 million tons of oil. The next promising directions of Rosneft program aimed at the development of Uvat project are Central Uvat and the Protozanovsky hub.
Eastern Development Center structure includes five oil fields: producing Ust-Tegusskoe and Urnenskoe fields, and developed Yuzhno-Gavrikovskoe, Zapadno-Epasskoe, and Malyk fields, which are to be commissioned in 2016. The Urnenskoe and Ust-Tegusskoe fields are the largest fields ever discovered by geologists within Uvat. Recoverable reserves of these five fields total about 120 million tons of oil.
In the course of Eastern Development Center project implementation there have been commissioned key installations allowing to create an oil province with well-developed infrastructure in the fens. There has been constructed a 264 km oil trunk pipeline from the Ust-Tegusskoe field to the oil pumping station of the Kalchinskoe field, first train of central production facility. For the purpose of rational use of APG, and providing oil producing installations with their own generation of energy, there has been constructed and commissioned this year a 60 megawatt gas turbine electric power station. In conjunction with small generation of energy objects this will allow to bring the APG vapor recovery in Eastern Development Center of Uvat project to 95%.
Uvatneftegaz is widely using modern technologies for the development of new fields. There’s a unique installation represented by the system for cuttings re-injection at the Ust-Tegusskoe field. As of today, this is the most efficient, trouble-proof, and environmentally-friendly method of utilization of drilling waste.
Notes for Editors:
Rosneft subsidiary Uvatneftegaz is the operator of Uvat project development. Uvat project is a group of 14 license blocks with recoverable reserves of about 338 million tons of oil and condensate. There’re 12 blocks located in the south of Tyumen Region, and 2 blocks in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District-Yugra. Total project area amounts to 26.6 thousand square km.
In 2013, Uvatneftegaz produced 8.8 million tons of oil. Considering the commissioning of new fields, the increase of production is planned for 2014 and in the following years.
