Drilling gas-injection well starts at Yurubcheno-Tokhomskoye field
Eastern Siberian Oil and Gas Company (a subsidiary of Rosneft) has started drilling the first gas-injection well at Yurubcheno-Tokhomskoye field.
During two years five wells will be drilled for injection of associated petroleum gas into the formation. Projected depth of each will be up to 3 thousand meters. Putting them into operation will allow injecting up to 1 bln cubed metres of associated petroleum gas p.a. into the formation. Also the issues of formational pressure support are solved in order to increase the coefficient of oil recovery and minimize environmental impact.
In terms of gas program realization at Yurubcheno-Tokhomsk field there will be built a high pressure pipeline, compressor station and gas turbine electric power station. Gas objects will be provided modern equipment with a high degree of automation, control and operating process monitoring.
Before the beginning of industrial oil production Eastern Siberian Oil and Gas Company will prepare infrastructure ensuring effective usage of not less than 95% of associated petroleum gas. Some part of associated petroleum gas is planned to be forwarded for auxiliaries – electricity and heat production at the field as well as to be used in the process of oil treatment.
Notes for Editors:
Eastern Siberian Oil and Gas Company (a subsidiary of Rosneft) owns a license for geological exploration and extraction of carbohydrates at Yurubcheno-Tokhomsk field in Evenki area of Krasnoyarsk territory.
Vostsibneftegas carries out a set of works to prepare the field for industrial reclamation – geological exploration of licensed sections, road and pads building, exploration drilling, environment-oriented and industrial infrastructure arrangement.
In 2014 Vostsibneftegas started full-scale realization of a project aimed at expanded first stage section of Yurubcheno-Tokhomskoye field reclamation.
Besides, Vostsibneftegas carries out exploration oil production for northern areas’ needs – heating and electrification of settlements on Evenki and Northern Yenisei areas of the territory and local enterprises.
