Vankorneft started construction of oil pipeline from Suzun field

Vankorneft, a subsidiary of Rosneft, in compliance with the program of Suzun field development started construction of pressure oil pipeline to connect Suzun and Vankor oil fields. Total length of the oil pipeline will be 101 km.

The project implementation became possible due to a complex of technical and managerial arrangements. For instance, over 1600 two-pipe sections were welded, and the process of pile foundations installation started. Contracting building organizations are involved in construction right-of-way centerline, providing assembling works to start on time.

In the winter period 2014-2015 a considerable workscope is planned to drive piles along the oil pipeline axis, as well as to place, assemble and weld its linear part.

The commissioning of the pipeline will be synchronized with other objects of the Suzun field first stage: forecast fond of exploitation and injection wells, oil treatment plant with capacity of 5.2 mln tons per year, first-stage infield pipelines with total length about 30 km, roads and other infrastructure units.

Development of the Suzun field as well as Tagul and Lodochnoye fields, together with other licensed blocks forming Vankor cluster is implemented with the maximum usage of already built and commissioned infrastructure of the Vankor cluster. Oil of the Suzun field will be transported via infield oil pipeline to the central production facility at the Vankor production site, then – to the Vankor-Purpe oil pipeline and after - to the oil pipeline system.

Notes for Editors:

Vankorneft is developing the Vankor oil and gas condensate field in the Krasnoyarsk Territory since August 2009, in November the company was chosen as a development operator of Suzun, Tagul and Lodochnoye oil fields.

At the moment, Vankor cluster comprises 23 licensed blocks, situated in the Krasnoyarsk Territory and partially in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region.

According to geologic data for 01.01.2014, reserves of oil and condensate of the Suzun field total over 56 mln tons, gas reserves – 35.3 bln cubic meters.
