Rosneft Launched Pilot Operation at the Severo-Danilovskoe Oil and Gas Condensate Field
Rosneft launched pilot operation at the Severo-Danilovskoe field located within the Danilovsky license area in the north of Irkutsk Region. The field is operated by public joint-stock company Verkhnechonskneftegaz, part of the Rosneft Group. The pilot operation phase will last three years during which three wells will be flow-tested.
At the pilot operation phase, potentially possible field production volumes will be determined. The wells drilled at the Severo-Danilovskoe field in 2012-2014 passed tests, commercial oil flows were up to 216 tons a day.
Notes for editors: The Severo-Danilovskoe field was discovered by Rosneft in 2011 as the result of exploratory drilling. As of January 1, 2015, the field reserves exceed 75 million tons of oil and 35 billion cubic meters of gas. Verkhnechonskneftegaz, part of Rosneft Group, operates the Verkhnechonskoe oil and gas condensate field in the Katangsky District of the Irkutsk Region. Also, VCNG is the operator of seven of Rosneft's license areas in the Irkutsk Region and the Krasnoyarsk Territory, including the Danilovsky license. |
