RN-Nyaganneftegaz Completed First Stage of New Gas Pipeline
RN-Nyaganneftegaz, a subsidiary of Rosneft, completed building the line infrastructure for a new 31.5 km gas pipeline that will connect the Em-Egovskiy licence block to a gas processing plant. This marks implementation of the first of two scheduled construction stages. Second stage will involve the installation of block valves and condensate gathering points.
Once commissioned, the new gas pipeline will boost the throughput capacity of the gas transmission system for the Em-Egovskiy licence block from 540 million to 1 billion cubic metres a year. This project is part of a phased development programme for the gas transportation system of the enterprise, driven by its plans to maintain and increase oil and associated gas production through drilling of new wells.
In long term, due to commissioning of the new gas line section, additional volumes of up to 460 million cubic metres of associated gas will be delivered to the gas processing plant each year, helping to maintain associated gas utilization level of at least 95% at the Em-Egovskiy block.
