Congratulations on the 70th anniversary of Great Victory from the Chairman of Rosneft Management Board Igor Sechin
Dear veterans and colleagues,
On behalf of Rosneft and myself, I would like to congratulate you on the Victory Day!
It has been 70 years since the end of Great Patriotic War —one of the most devastating disasters in the history of mankind. However, memories of that war are still vivid and are passed from generation to generation. Those are the memories of people that relentlessly fought and made the ultimate sacrifice both at the firing lines and on the home front to liberate our Motherland.
Fuel and energy sector also played its part in destroying the aggressor. Having paid a huge price—the price of enormous efforts and casualties—they managed to defend access to the key resources. “The enemy got no single oil drop.” Despite destructive bomb attacks, thousands of people kept on working fearlessly at domestic refineries to ensure continuous fuel supplies to the Soviet Army and the Navy. Oilmen rebuilt destroyed plants and constructed new ones, along with pipelines and drilling sites.
Our country’s victory in the Great Patriotic War determined further course of events in the world history and allowed bringing back freedom and independence for millions of people.
From the bottom of my heart, I wish veterans good health, well-being, enjoying attention and care! I hope that new generations will justify expectations of our greatest fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers. Let me wish you peace and happy Great Victory anniversary!
