Apple Pay Coming to BP’s Retail Stations Customers
BP’s retail stations, operated by Rosneft, brings its customers Apple Pay, which is transforming mobile payments with an easy, secure and private way to pay that’s fast and convenient.
Delivering foremost goods, services and technologies to its customers is a top-priority for the BP retail chain. This is accomplished not just by providing the best motor fuel (delivered after a multi-stage quality control), but enabling the use of sophisticated payment options as well.This service was made available to customers of all 121 BP retail sites in Moscow and the Moscow region, Saint-Petersburg and the Leningrad region as well as Pskov and the Tver, Smolensk, Novgorod regions customers.
“We are constantly looking for way to become better for our clients,” said Rosneft’s Vice-president for the development of the retail business and the domestic market Avril Conroy. “Apple Pay will be in high-demand by metropolitan citizens, whose time is one of the most valuable assets. Now they can fill their cars with our high-quality fuel faster and in a more convenient fashion.”
Security and privacy is at the core of Apple Pay. When you use a credit or debit card with Apple Pay, the actual card numbers are not stored on the device, nor on Apple servers. Instead, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element on your device. Each transaction is authorized with a one-time unique dynamic security code.
Apple Pay is easy to set up and users will continue to receive all of the rewards and benefits offered by credit and debit cards. Within BP retail stations stores, Apple Pay works with iPhone 6 and later and Apple Watch.
