Samaraneftegaz increased oil production by more than 3% in 2016
Samaraneftegaz, Rosneft subsidiary, has boosted oil production to 12.2 mmt according to the results of 2016, which is 3.3% more than the previous year.
Production growth was secured by commissioning of new wells, use of advanced technologies and efficient implementation of geological and technical actions.
In 2016 over 312 thousand meters have been drilled and overall drilling speed has been boosted to 1364 MTR/RIG per month (1310 MTR/RIG per month in 2015).
Implementation of exploratory drilling program provides for regular increment of reserves - over 10 mmt of oil annually, the exploration drilling progress totaled 16 thousand meters of geological material.
Growth of hydrocarbon production was also stipulated by commissioning of new infrastructure projects: about 300 km of pipelines, 124 km of power lines, Kozlovskaya, Sologaevskaya and Yablonevskaya gas compressor stations have been constructed.
Samaraneftegaz continues works to increase its resource base. In 2016 the enterprise acquired 6 licensed areas: Klyuchevsky, Maksimovsky, Novo-Krutyakovsky, South-Butkovsky, Leschevsky and Podlesny.

The cumulative production since the start of its operation in 1936 exceeds 1.2 bln tons.
