Rosneft increases development drilling rate on Vankor cluster fields
Rosneft increased development drilling rate at the Vankor cluster fields to 305.2 thousand m in 2016 – by 3% year-on-year.
This was made possible due to the growth of drilling volumes at Suzun and Tagulskoye fields as well as due to the increase of commercial speed of drilling due to the launch of additional rigs and infill wells drilling. To improve production efficiency on the Vankor cluster, development is carried out by horizontal wells.
According to the results of 2016, the total of 88 wells were put into commercial production, including 57 production wells, 27 intake wells and 4 water supply wells.
This year RN-Vankor plans to increase its drilling rate. Production drilling growth is expected to be reached due to the drilling rigs fleet increase and commercial drilling rate enhance at the Suzunskoye, Tagulskoye and Lodochnoye fields.
