Rosneft Becomes one of the World Leaders in Drilling Geological Support

Rosneft’s drilling geological support centres provided 100% control over the well drilling support processes in the Company. Even today the cumulated economic impact from conducted efforts amounts to more than 1.2 bln roubles.

The company’s specialists have created new areas for the collection and processing of information. Particularly these are an interpretation of geophysical well surveys data, geological and engineering survey, geoseismic analysis and 24-hour updating of geological and hydrodinamical models while drilling, and geomechanical drilling support. The implementation of these new approaches will bring more than 100 mln roubles by the end of 2020.

Thus, Rosneft is the one of the world leaders in drilling geological support. The Company is also a leader in the number of controlled horizontal wells - more than 3,000 per year. It outclassed all its rivals in the number and quality of services of geosteering support in different geological conditions. Also the specialists of the Company provided successful support of high-tech downhole horizontal splitters with the length of horizontal sections of the well of more than 10,000 metres.
