Rosneft Introduces Remote Communication Forms for Training
Rosneft begins a series of webinars on technological training for specialists and employees of the Company’s subsidiaries.
Currently, Rosneft specialists are conducting remote lectures on hydraulic fracturing design in a corporate simulator RN-GRID. Webinars on RN-GRID software, which is unique in Russia, brought together in virtual space more than 250 leading specialists in the field of hydraulic fracturing from oil and gas production and service organisations in Russia and neighboring countries. Such a significant number of participants points to the high interest of the oil and gas industry in the Company’s innovative developments; in terms of audience coverage the webinars are comparable to the largest traditional specialised conferences.
During the self-isolation regime, Rosneft promptly responds to changes and actively implements new remote forms of communication, which allows improving the efficiency of corporate business processes, as well as interaction with partner companies in the oil and gas industry.
Another example of successful introduction of remote communication forms is the launch of a pilot project for online technological training of employees of RN-BashNIPIneft institute (part of the Rosneft corporate research and development complex), who switched to remote work from home. Currently, a training webinar dedicated to geomechanical modelling in well construction and field development, as well as the use of corporate geomechanical simulator RN-SIGMA, is being held for a group of 50 people. In the course of the training, thematic issues of geomechanics are examined in detail.
The experience gained allows the Company to ensure continuity of the production process and demonstrates a high rate of adaptation to changing conditions.

The programme complex RN-GRID (https://rn.digital/rngrid/) provides for all operations and engineering calculations required for hydrofracturing projecting: loading and visualization of large volumes of initial data, creation of a geomechanical reservoir model, analysis of diagnostic injections, design calculation and analysis of actual hydrofracturing operations using an extensive database of process fluids and proppants for hydrofracturing.
