Rosneft Expands its Corporate Telehealth System in Regions where it Operates
Rosneft expands its corporate telehealth system* in the regions where it operates. The Company has integrated a shift camp and 4 oilfields of its Tomskneft subsidiary in the Tomsk Region into a modern remote medical care system. Now the medical personnel of the health centres can consult specialists of Tomsk Regional Clinical Hospital, one of the leading medical institutions of the region, via a secure video channel.
Tomskneft’s medical stations were equipped with satellite communication equipment, computer equipment, and specialized software to integrate into the corporate telehealth system for online consultations and exchange of medical documentation.
Often ultrasound images, ECG data, and other information are needed to make an accurate diagnosis and assist workers before they are referred to or hospitalized at a specialized medical centre. In the near future, the development of technical capabilities of medical equipment will make it possible to transfer this data from the fields to the Tomsk hospital.
The main value of Rosneft is its employees. The priority area of the Company’s social policy is to improve the quality of medical services at its production facilities and to take care of employees’ health. Medical workers in remote fields assist at the pre-hospital stage until the arrival of the aero-medical aircraft. Consulting support of specialists of leading regional medical institutions with the help of telehealth is an essential part of effective treatment in such situations. Besides, telehealth offers new opportunities for remote training of medical staff in the field.
In 2018, Rosneft started creating a corporate telehealth network of healthcare units at remote production facilities and large regional consultation and treatment centres. Tomskneft and 17 other enterprises of the Company became the core for a corporate telehealth network. Earlier it was implemented at remote fields of RN-Severnaya Neft, RN-Yuganskneftegaz and Bashneft-Polus. All remote industrial health centres are provided with modern medical equipment, special transport, and trained medical personnel.
