Rosneft Opens Interactive Science and Technology Exhibition

Rosneft has opened a science and technology exhibition dedicated to the 15th birthday of the Corporate Research and Development Complex.

The exhibition is hosted at Rosneft’s Research Institution, Research and Development Centre LLC, in Moscow. The science and technology exhibition is equipped with advanced hardware allowing visitors to experience the processes demonstrated first-hand by means 3D visualisation and augmented reality. The exhibition features unique field showpieces, from palaeontological discoveries and antique laboratory equipment to modern high-tech inventions of oil and gas industry.

The exhibition reflects the history of the Corporate R&D Complex and the role of each R&D institute in its operation. There are innovations under development by the Corporate R&D Complex, as well as processes of oil recovery and refining demonstrated at the exhibition.

Rosneft’s Corporate Research and Development Complex is the largest oil and gas research centre in Europe. At the moment, it includes 29 design and research institutes, as well as 44 competence centres that employ more than 17,000 people in total. The Complex is the basic unit for making scientific and technical decisions in all production areas of the Company, from exploration to product marketing. The total economic impact from the Complex’s activities is estimated at 150 billion roubles.

Building up competencies and entering the external market, including the international one, is one of the priorities of the Corporate Research and Development Complex.
