Rosneft Participates in Nationwide “Stay Healthy!” Campaign Timed to Coincide with World Health Day
Rosneft Oil Company has taken part in a nationwide “Stay healthy!” campaign timed to coincide with World Health Day.
The campaign aimed to promote healthy lifestyles and a responsible attitude towards health runs from 7th to 10th April.
World Health Day is celebrated on 7th April. Each year, the World Health Organization chooses a theme that highlights one of WHO’s priority areas.
In 2021, the theme of World Health Day is ‘Building a Fairer, Healthier World’. Public attention is being drawn to the problems identified by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rosneft employees take part in the More Steps to Be Healthy campaign.
The lives and health of employees are the Company’s priority. Rosneft works systematically to promote healthy lifestyles and a responsible attitude to health among its employees. The Company’s subsidiaries regularly organise sporting events and raise awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle, including lectures with infectious disease doctors/therapists for OH employees on healthy lifestyles and discussions on vaccination against coronavirus infection. Brief examinations of employees’ health (ECG, pulse oximetry (blood oxygen saturation), spirometry), Good Nutrition Marathons, workout exercises, master classes with Nordic Walking and yoga specialists, football tournaments between Company employees are held.

World Health Day has been celebrated on 7th April since 1950. On this day in 1948, the Constitution of the World Health Organisation came into effect. Since 1950, World Health Day has been held annually to raise awareness of the major public health problems facing the international community around the world. This day marks the start of long-term health education programmes, which continue long after 7th April.
