Rosneft became the General partner of SPIEF Junior
Rosneft was the general partner of the youth section of the XXIV St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF Junior), which is being held for the first time as part of the SPIEF. The main participants of this event were 200 schoolchildren from all over Russia and their peers from Qatar, the guest country of the forum. The non-governmental development institute Innopraktika is also among the partners of the event.
Company's representatives took part in the central panel of the forum dedicated to new meanings and values of education. It was noted that the key priorities of Rosneft's business development are related to personnel training. Rosneft forms its talent pool according to the school-university-enterprise system, acting as a responsible partner of the state education system. In the regions of operations, the Company opens Rosneft-classes with in-depth study of natural science subjects. Within the framework of additional education, joint research projects are being implemented with Innopraktika, the Moscow State University preparatory school, and Sirius Educational Center.
Rosneft cooperates with 68 Russian and foreign higher education institutions. At the initiative of the Company, 26 partner universities have created departments and master's programs in popular business areas: resource-saving technologies, petrochemicals, petroleum engineering, digitalization and IT security, offshore projects, management strategies, etc. To implement its Vostok Oil flagship project, Rosneft is creating a unique Corporate Training Center with a training ground for practical training on the entire cycle of oil and gas production and service.
Rosneft responds quickly to global challenges. In 2020, as part of the Company's cooperation agreement with the MSU, a new master's program "Genomics and Human Health" was launched, the first group of masters is being trained.
The SPIEF Junior program includes 25 business events dedicated to the interaction of business and education, and to increasing the economic activity of young people. More than 100 Russian and foreign speakers, including statesmen, representatives of large businesses and leading universities, participate in the dialogue with schoolchildren on the sidelines of the forum. The forum is organized by the Content Foundation with the participation of the Roscongress Foundation and the all-Russian competition "Big Change".
