Bashneft Planted 3.4 million Trees

Bashneft – part of Rosneft – has carried out the largest landscaping of the territory over the past 20 years. More than 3.4 million coniferous seedlings have been planted in the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Tyumen Region. The total area of greenery has exceeded 800 hectares.

The most large-scale landscaping was carried out in Bashkortostan: during May-June 2021 in 17 districts of the Republic, Bashneft planted 3.1 million spruces and pines on an area of 722 hectares. In the Vikulovsky district of the Tyumen region, 340 thousand spruces have been planted on an area of 85 hectares.

Care for the environment is one of the key areas of the Rosneft-2022 strategy. The company implements a set of measures to protect ecosystems and biodiversity, replenish natural resources, including planting trees and stocking the country's reservoirs.

Bashneft is implementing a large-scale nature protection programme in the main regions of operation. In 2020, more than 5.6 billion roubles were allocated to these aims.
