House of Culture Opens in Bashkiria with Bashneft’s Support
In the Karayar settlement, Karaidel District, Republic of Bashkortostan, a new versatile House of Culture has opened for residents of several settlements with the support of Bashneft (an enterprise of Rosneft Oil Company).
Improving the quality of life in the main region of operations, the Republic of Bashkortostan, is a key objective of Bashneft’s humanitarian work.
The new building meets contemporary standards and is fully compliant with all requirements needed. The 831 square metre space accommodates a multifunctional auditorium as well as choreography and aerobics areas. A literature and local history club is available in the exhibition hall.
The House of Culture hosts a folk vocal ensemble Umyrzaya and four clubs: the dance club Yuruzan sylulary, the drama club Yuryuzan, the vocal club Do-mi-sol and the folklore club Bairam. A total of 150 people of varying ages are engaged in the institution’s artistic groups.

Over the past three years, more than 260 social projects have been implemented under the Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Bashkortostan and Rosneft, including the construction of an ice arena in Kumertau, a sports and recreation complex with a swimming pool in the Yermekeyevo District, the Ufimsky Sokol sports centre, the Timashevskaya transport interchange in Ufa, and kindergartens in the Kugarchi District and in Neftekamsk.
