Zvezda Shipyard Donates Modern Tomographic Scanner to Bolshoy Kamen Hospital

Rosneft and Zvezda shipyard donated a modern tomographic scanner to Bolshoy Kamen (Federal Medical and Sanitary Unit No. 98 of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia).

The commitment to the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals is a part of the Rosneft 2022 Strategy. The Company pays special attention to initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life within the corporate footprint, developing health care, science and education, culture and environmental protection.

A tomographic scanner can diagnose vascular diseases and assess bone structures. The device has software packages for the high-precision detection of lung diseases, which is crucial at the time of the Covid-19 pandemic. The system is capable of performing a quality patient screening, with a radiation dose that is safe for your health.

The new tomography room will be part of the radiology department at MSU-98 and will be operated by highly qualified doctors and X-ray technicians. Once the necessary preparatory work has been completed and a licence obtained, the computer tomography service will be available to all residents of the Bolshoy Kamen town and, in the future, to the residents of the Shkotovo district as well.
