Large Sports Complex Reconstructed with the Support of Rosneft Opens in Yugra
Sports and recreation complex Sibiryak was opened in Nefteyugansk, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra. The funds for its radical reconstruction were allocated by RN-Yuganskneftegaz as part of a cooperation agreement between Rosneft and the government of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District—Yugra. The complex can hold more than 4000 people.
Promotion of mass sports is one of the key areas of social commitment of Rosneft and its subsidiaries. The Company funds the construction of ice arenas, sports complexes and multi-purpose sports grounds in the regions of its operations. Rosneft supports amateur and professional sports.
During the reconstruction of the Sibiryak Sports Complex, two swimming pools, a large sports hall, training and wrestling areas, the central hall, and utility rooms were renovated. Besides, modern ventilation and water treatment systems were installed, utility systems were replaced, the roof and facade were overhauled, and the territory was improved.
The opening of the sports complex will qualitatively improve the training of students of Olympic Reserve school. Swimming, basketball, rhythmic gymnastics and sports acrobatics training will be held here.
