Within the scope of the project scientists of the Tyumen State University will research the ornithofauna and the condition of populations of rare and protected bird species, included in the Red Books of the Tyumen Region and Russia. During Stage One of the research ornithologists will collect and analyse data on rare and protected bird species, and during Stage Two they will conduct field research to estimate the quantitative condition of the populations. As a result of the research, scientists will provide guidance on possible creation of a new designated conservation area in the region.
