Bashneft Supplies Drinking Water to Over 50,000 Residents of Bashkortostan

With support from Bashneft (part of Rosneft), more than 50,000 residents in 17 districts of Bashkortostan have gained access to centralised drinking water supplies over the past five years. Funds were provided under the Cooperation Agreement between Bashkortostan and Rosneft.

Previously, residents of 30 towns in Bashkortostan had problems with drinking water supplies - using remote springs, wells and aging water pipes. In many villages, the previous water supply system had not been repaired for decades, so Bashneft's support has significantly improved access to drinking water.

In the Ilishevsky District, funding was provided for the construction of a water pipeline and a pumping station with water towers to supply the village of Verkhnemancharovo. The enterprise overhauled the Tukaevsky water intake in the Tuimazinsky District. In Yanaul, design and costing documentation was prepared for the modernisation of the water supply and treatment systems. In the Yermekeyevsky District, oil company sponsored the construction of utilities for water supply and water drainage in the village of Tarkazy. The Company also repaired water supply networks in four villages and improved springs. The project to repair the water supply system is being implemented in the Chekmagush village, which will provide quality water to 13,000 residents of the district centre.

They have completed overhaul of external water supply networks in Yumaguzino village of Kugarchinsky District, water supply system in Maksyutovo village of Sterlibashevsky District, three settlements of Mechetlinsky District, Kungak village of Askinsky District, water supply networks in six villages of Ishimbaysky District, Urazaevo pumping station in Starourazaevo village of Krasnokamsky District and Sabanchi-Redkino main water pipeline.

Rosneft is actively involved in the social and economic development of its operating regions. In 2017, a cooperation agreement was launched between Bashkortostan and Rosneft, with the aim of developing industrial, financial, and social programs in the region.
