Bashneft Helps Create Over 20 Major Social Institutions in Bashkiria

Over 20 major social institutions have been opened in the Republic of Bashkortostan over the past three years thanks to Bashneft's support. Funds for its implementation were provided under the Cooperation Agreement between Bashkortostan and Rosneft.

Rosneft is actively involved in the social and economic development of its operating regions. In 2017, a cooperation agreement was launched between Bashkortostan and Rosneft, with the aim of developing industrial, financial, and social programs in the region. It was renewed in 2022 at the XXV St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Last year, the company helped to open kindergartens in the Kushnarenkovsky and Tatyshlinsky regions of the republic. A new two-storey kindergarten building has been constructed in the village of Kushnarenkovo with an impressive area of 4,200 square meters. This modern facility comfortably accommodates 220 children and adheres to the latest technical standards for optimal safety and comfort. Each age group has its own unit with a bedroom, playroom, pantry and changing room. The sports and music halls are fully staffed and the catering and medical units have modern equipment.

Bashneft also helped to open the Romashka kindergarten for 50 children in the village Stary Kurdym. A modern, technologically-equipped one-storey building spanning 700 square meters has been constructed, complete with the latest inventory. The playground is divided into a play area and a sports area with an injury-free surface. The facility is fully autonomous - its own boiler house supplies the kindergarten and the neighbouring school.

Bashkir oil workers contribute to the reconstruction of Ufa's Forestry Technical School, providing aid to accommodate 1,200 students. The initiative involves the renovation of buildings and classrooms, as well as the upgrading of life support and fire safety systems. Moreover, efforts include the replacement of roofing, along with the installation of new windows and doors. The computer room was equipped with modern computers. Following the reconstruction, the technical school now offers a brand-new sports hall equipped with all the necessary equipment. Furthermore, the auditorium has undergone a complete renovation and is now outfitted with state-of-the-art technology.

Bashneft financially backs the Lyubimy Malysh Habilitation Centre's neuro-studio for children—a vital social institution in the area. The renovated medical facility serves more than 50 young patients daily. The Habilitation Centre and Neurostudio, unique medical facilities, play an important role in working with children with special needs.

The Youth Palace resumed its work in Yanaul after reconstruction. The recently renovated institution has seen an increase in its area, allowing for the creation of new facilities - including a conference hall and the Neftyanik cinema with seating for 160 people, with state-of-the-art video and sound equipment. Additionally, the dance hall has been expanded. Residents of Yanaul now have the opportunity to watch films in 3D. The renovation included the replacement of the roof, windows, doors and the installation of new heating, water, ventilation and electrical systems.

A polylingual boarding school for 300 children was opened in Neftekamsk. The building of 2.3 thousand square meters was restored and equipped with modern devices. The boarding school is a base platform for linguistic education in Neftekamsk with more than 130,000 citizens and dozens of other settlements of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

In total, more than 140 projects were implemented in 47 regions and cities within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement between Bashkortostan and Rosneft in 2020-2022, which has significantly improved the level of social welfare in the republic.
