Bashneft builds a new building for the Orlyonok children's health camp
Bashneft supported the construction of a building of the Orlyonok children's health camp in the Ilishevsky district of Bashkortostan. The project was implemented under the Cooperation Agreement between Rosneft and the Republic of Bashkortostan.
The new educational building complies with the most up-to-date technical requirements. The 500 m2 area includes classrooms, teachers' offices and a library. Now, in addition to recreation and entertainment, children will be able to study basic and additional programmes all year round in a separate building, which is equipped with everything they may need.
Earlier, with the support of Bashneft, a new two-storey dormitory building was built and equipped for comfortable accommodation in the Orlyonok camp. It has classrooms on each floor and comfortable recreation areas and playgrounds in the halls. The ground floor has rooms for children with special health needs.
After the large-scale reconstruction, the children's recreation centre is able to accommodate more than 5 times more children - up to 264 people. The camp welcomes children from Ilishevsky, Sterlitamaksky, Dyurtulinsky, Krasnokamsky, Chekmagushevsky and Bakalinsky districts of the Republic of Bashkortostan, as well as the cities of Ufa and Oktyabrsky.
Rosneft is actively involved in the social and economic development of its operating regions. Over 20 major social institutions have been opened in the Republic of Bashkortostan over the past three years thanks to Bashneft's support. Two kindergartens have been opened in the Kushnarenkovsky and Tatyshlinsky districts of the republic. Bashkir oilmen helped to reconstruct a forestry technical school for 1,200 students in the city of Ufa. Bashneft financially backs the Lyubimy Malysh Habilitation Centre's neuro-studio for children—a vital social institution in the area. In the town of Yanaul, the Youth Palace resumed its work after reconstruction, adding a 160-seat cinema to the existing facilities. A polylingual boarding school for 300 children was opened in Neftekamsk.
The largest sports facility in the west of Bashkiria, the Spartak Stadium in the town of Tuimazy, has been completely reconstructed. A world-class skate park has appeared in the town of Dyurtyuli. A multifunctional open-air stadium with equipped playgrounds for futsal, volleyball, basketball, handball and a training complex was built on the territory of the oil college in Neftekamsk.
Note for Editors:
