Orenburgneft recognised as the best organisation to work with young personnel in the Orenburg region
Orenburgneft, part of the Rosneft oil production complex, won the 12th regional competition "Best Young Personnel Management Organisation". Winning the competition confirms the high expert assessment of the company's work with young specialists and the effectiveness of the mentoring programme.
The company cooperates with seven leading Russian universities (Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, St. Petersburg Mining University, Kuban State University, KFU, USNTU, OSU, SamSTU) and implements a policy aimed at ensuring the inflow of professionally trained talented young people from among the best graduates. Over 300 students from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Ufa, Samara, Orenburg and other cities have become trainees of the enterprise over the last five years.
When young specialists and employees join the Company, they are involved in large-scale career guidance activities within the framework of the corporate system "School - University - Enterprise". Each of them is assigned an experienced mentor, and the best of them also become mentors for the students of Rosneft specialised classes. As a result of such systematic work, about 90% of graduates of profile classes enrolled in oil and related majors.
350 young employees are employed by Orenburgneft every year. The company has created 820 new jobs in five years.
The competition was held as part of the XII Regional Meeting of Working Youth "Mentoring 2023. Combining Experience, Building the Future", which was attended by over 100 representatives from enterprises and organisations of the Orenburg Region. The event was organised by the Government of the Orenburg Region and the Orenburg Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
The meeting participants presented their engineering and management projects, exchanged cross-industry experience in working with young personnel, visited the region's production enterprises, and learnt the skills of effective team management.
