Rosneft develops technologies for enhancing wellwork efficiency
Specialists from Rosneft's research institute in Tyumen have upgraded Ariadna corporate software designed to assess wellwork efficiency. The updated version of the software includes an analytical model for waterflood optimization at mature fields, which allows to adjust and forecast both falling and rising watercut dynamics. In this respect, the innovative software surpasses global analogs.
Rosneft is the first Russian oil company to successfully create proprietary software for geology, design, field development and operation. The corporate range of software products guarantee technological safety and efficiency of solutions through the use of high-performance computing and artificial intelligence methods.
Implementation of new computational algorithms in Ariadna software allows keeping dynamic records of high and ultra-high gas content in produced oil, as well as selecting optimal injection modes for hundreds of wells in a matter of seconds. For comparison, when using traditional hydrodynamic models, multivariate calculations take several hours.
Ariadna is currently used to monitor and optimize waterflooding at 15 Rosneft fields. Roll out of this software at Upstream Subsidiaries will make it possible to increase the profitability of reserves recovery from highly depleted reservoirs.
