Rosneft held the XVIII Interregional Scientific and Technical Conference of Young Specialists at the Russia exhibition
Rosneft held the annual XVIII Interregional Scientific and Technical Conference (ISTC). The event brought together 436 young specialists from 72 subsidiaries of the Company - winners of the Regional and Cluster 2023 conferences.
This year's conference spread over two days. On November 22, the I.M. Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas hosted the opening of the ISTC, as well as working sections where young specialists presented their scientific projects. The events were attended by Anastasia Bondarenko, Chief of Staff - Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, and Natalia Mincheva, 
Vice President for HR and Social Matters - Director of Rosneft's HR Department,
Alexander Pashali, Director of Rosneft's Department of Scientific and Technical Development and Innovations, and Rector of the Russian State University Viktor Martynov.
This year's conference participants submitted 324 projects for consideration by the jury, which consisted of 93 managers and experts from Rosneft's Central Office. All winners and prizewinners, as well as their supervisors, received awards and cash prizes.
The second day of the Conference was held on November 23 at the Russia International Exhibition and Forum at VDNKh - in the pavilion of Rosneft and in the pavilion of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation. The organizers prepared a fascinating program for young scientists, which included an interactive lecture “Russia's Oil and Gas Industry: Past, Present and Future” and a digital quest around the Rosneft exposition. As part of the quest, participants were asked to predict how the oil industry profession would look like in 2040.
Rosneft holds annual scientific and technical conferences to develop professional competencies of young specialists, 
to increase their motivation and involvement in innovative research activities, as well as to identify and encourage high-potential young people.
The projects of young specialists are of great practical importance for the Company's production and economic activities. In 2023, 21 projects were implemented from among those recommended for implementation based on the results of the ISTC of the previous year. The projects were implemented in 15 Subsidiaries of the Group, the economic effect of the projects will amount to RUB 927 mln.
Rosneft Scientific and Technical Conferences are traditionally held in three stages. The winners and nominees of the regional stage participate in the cluster scientific and technical conferences held at the sites of several Subsidiaries in different business processes: production and service, oil and gas refining and petrochemicals, petroleum product supply, science, shipbuilding and ship repair.

The Russia International Exhibition and Forum is held under the decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin from November 4, 2023 to April 12, 2024 on the territory of VDNKh. Rosneft's exposition is located in a pavilion built according to the author's design project. The pavilion's digital equipment and interactive exhibits tell visitors about the history of the oil industry and the Company, its prospects, scientific developments and social projects.
In the Rosneft pavilion, there is a Zerno café where everyone can drink fragrant coffee, snack on freshly baked pastries or hot dogs, as well as try dishes from the new specialty menu: pancakes with different fillings, chicken wings and strips, French fries, pockets and much more.
