Bashneft employs over 40% of student interns at its enterprises

Bashneft (part of Rosneft) employed more than 40% of the students from the intern pool in its enterprises in 2023. Bashneft’s enterprises provided internships and apprenticeships for 1,500 students.

Rosneft is implementing a number of projects to attract talented young people to the Company and create an external talent pool of graduates from Rosneft Classes, universities and partner colleges.

Some students receive a formal offer to work at Bashneft while interning. Last year, over 600 students received offers. This gives students the opportunity to start their careers at the region’s largest company and to gain work experience while still at university. More than 120 3rd and 4th year students continued to work at Bashneft after their internships last year. They combine their work with their studies. For convenience, the company’s main partner educational institutions – Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU) and Ufa Fuel and Energy College (UFEC) – have formed more than 10 Bashneft corporate groups, where students study according to individual study plans. 

There is a growing demand for this form of dual education* in the interaction between employers, academic institutions and students.

In addition, schoolchildren from Bashkortostan study in Rosneft Classes as part of the Company’s large-scale «School-University-Enterprise» program. They gain in-depth knowledge in their chosen professions. 90% of the graduates of Rosneft Classes entered universities on a budgetary basis.

Bashneft also awards about 70 corporate grants to teachers and scholarships to talented students of higher and secondary educational institutions every year.

* Dual education – a form of education in which the theoretical part takes place in an educational institution and the practical part directly at the enterprise, sometimes directly at the student’s future workplace.
