Rosneft presents environmental and volunteer projects at the international Russia Expo
In early May, the Rosneft pavilion at the international Russia Expo hosted a presentation of the Company’s environmental and volunteer projects. In 2023 alone, more than 2,000 volunteer events were carried out, involving a total of 111,000 Company employees and their family members. These include social assistance for children in difficult circumstances, support for the elderly and numerous nature conservation projects.
Preservation of the environment is an integral part of Rosneft’s corporate culture. The Company aims to achieve leadership positions in minimizing the environmental impact and ensuring the eco-friendliness of its production, implements several comprehensive programs for the preservation and restoration of natural resources.
Vladimir Chub, Director of the MSU Apothecary Garden, told about the oldest Botanical Garden in the country, where a permanent exhibition ‘Moss Garden’ has been organized with the support of Rosneft. In 2023, images of rare bird species of the Russian North, taken in the Arctic seas by participants of Rosneft’s scientific expeditions, were exhibited there. In addition, representatives of the Russian children and youth movement ‘The Movement of the First’ told about the young naturalists of their community.
Visitors to the pavilion took part in themed quizzes and workshops. The cinema showed the documentaries ‘The Century of the White Sea’, ‘Guardians of the North’ and ‘Zemlya Archipelago’, dedicated to the Company’s environmental research.
On Friday, May 3, the Culinary Arts Days will begin at the Rosneft pavilion. Visitors to the pavilion will be able to find out more about good nutrition and the secrets of good health and performance, as well as how to prepare a festive table in the run-up to Easter.

The international Russia Expo is held at the VDNKh from 4 November 2023 to 8 July 2024 by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Rosneft exposition is located in a pavilion built according to the author’s design project. The pavilion’s digital hardware and interactive exhibits tell visitors about the history of the oil industry and the Company, its prospects, scientific developments and social projects.
