Igor Sechin will deliver a keynote speech at the Energy Panel as part of the SPIEF
On June 8 Chief Executive Officer of Rosneft Igor Sechin will deliver a speech at the Energy Panel of the 27th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum titled “Energy transition and phantom barrels: Abandon hope, all ye who enter here. Not everyone will be taken to the bright future of the global energy industry!”
Head of Rosneft will present an analysis of the current situation in the energy market.
In Igor Sechin’s speech special attention will paid to the energy transition. Despite huge investments made over the past decades, the alternative energy sources have not led to the displacement of fossil fuels from the energy market, and failed to occupy a significant share in the global market. At the same time, there is an imbalance in the energy market, which is caused by irresponsible and aggressive policies of the Western countries.
In his speech, Head of Rosneft will raise the subject of finding new opportunities and ways to develop global energy in a multipolar world. What energy resources are the future, where are the new drivers of oil consumption growth, and how to ensure reliable and uninterrupted energy supply at fair prices, taking into account the needs of developing countries?
These and other questions will be answered during the Energy Panel.
