Igor Sechin presents an updated Investment Atlas of Russian-Chinese energy cooperation at RCEBF

Igor Sechin, Executive Secretary of the Presidential Commission for the Strategy of Development of the Fuel and Energy Complex and CEO of Rosneft, presented an updated Atlas of Investments in Russian-Chinese Energy Cooperation at the 6th Russia-China Energy Business Forum (RCEBF).

The first edition of the Atlas was prepared and presented in 2021 at the opening of the III Russia-China Energy Business Forum. Since then, its content has been regularly updated by the parties.

"This year the Russian side, with the active participation of Chinese companies, has updated the Russian part of the Investment Atlas of Russian-Chinese energy cooperation," Sechin said at the opening ceremony of the RCEBF.

He noted that the Investment Atlas provides a deep insight into the specifics of the Russian and Chinese fuel and energy sectors and is a practical guide to the implementation of joint projects.

In concluding his speech, Igor Sechin noted that the potential for cooperation between Russia and China is enormous and that the countries are only at the beginning of their journey to its implementation, and also quoted the eminent Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu: "Only those who have power can give it to others".

The Russia-China Energy Business Forum has been held annually since 2018, in accordance with the agreements reached by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping. The Forum is held under the auspices of the Russian Presidential Commission for the Strategy of Development of the Fuel and Energy Complex and Environmental Safety and the State Energy Administration of the People's Republic of China, and is co-organised by Rosneft and China National Petroleum Corporation.
