Rosneft Employees Win National Engineer of the Year Competition
Employees of the Company’s enterprises won the Professional Engineers and Young Engineering Talent categories of the XXV National Engineer of the Year 2024 competition.
Alexander Nigai, a lead engineer at Vostsibneftegaz, designed and implemented a portable acoustic chamber for testing ultrasonic gas flow meters and a galvanometric tape measure for accurately measuring the level of formation water in steel tanks. He actively implements additive technologies in the production process. Alexander has authored thirty scientific papers and one Russian Federation patent.
Alexey Khramtsov, a drilling project manager at Samaraneftegaz, is responsible for developing natural bitumen deposits in the northern part of the Samara Region. He designed three rationalisation proposals relating to the use of alternative wellhead equipment, marker diagnostics and reducing capital investment in well exploration. He has published four scientific papers and one Russian Federation patent for a software component.
Dmitry Narushev, a supervisor at Samaraneftegaz, implemented thirty two rationalisation proposals to improve well repair technologies. He is responsible for implementing new machinery and technologies in the production process. He has published two scientific papers and one Russian Federation patent for a utility model.
Anna Mamurova, a chemist at the Angarsk Petrochemical Company, monitors air quality in Angarsk, mentors young professionals, and teaches at the Interdisciplinary Training Centre. She designed fifteen new laboratory control methods. They have all received metrological certification and state approval and are successfully used in the enterprise’s operations.
Mikhail Klochkov, a lead engineer at RN-Vankor, won the competition for participants up to 30 years old. Mikhail is a regular winner at regional, national and international scientific conferences. Following the Interregional Scientific and Technical Conference of Young Rosneft Specialists, his solution for providing autonomous energy to remote well clusters was recommended for implementation. This will allow the Company to develop oil and gas infrastructure in remote areas.
Anastasia Mikhailova, an employee of the Company’s Samara Research Institute, also won the Young Engineering Talent category of the competition. She is responsible for developing and implementing environmental protection projects at the research institute.
Alexander Lensky, an engineer at Slavneft-Krasnoyarskneftegaz, has published scientific papers and holds a patent for inventing a device that cleans pipeline cavities. Alexander has won numerous scientific and technical industry conferences and engineering championships.

The Engineer of the Year competition is supported by the Government of the Russian Federation. The winners are awarded the title of Competition Laureate and presented with diplomas, commemorative medals, certificates and silver badges entitled Professional Engineer of Russia.
