Rosneft Holds the 19th Summer Sports Games
The final competitions of the 19th Rosneft Summer Sports Games took place in Sochi’s Olympic stadiums. The sports festival was attended by over 800 oil workers who had achieved the best results in the qualifying competitions. Competitions were held in 12 disciplines, including mini-football, basketball, table tennis, volleyball, chess, kettlebell lifting, men’s and women’s athletics relays and races, billiards, shot put, tug of war and shooting.
Sports development is one of the key elements of Rosneft’s social policy. The Company’s summer and winter sports games are the most popular events, with thousands of athletes from the oil industry participating. 
A total of 2,800 employees from 74 of the Company’s subsidiaries took part in the regional qualifying rounds of the summer sports games, held in nine cities across the country.
Rosneft also supports amateur sports and promotes healthy lifestyles among its employees and the local populations in its operating regions. The Company finances the construction of ice rinks, sports centres, and multifunctional sports venues.
Winners of the 19th Summer Sports Games:
- Verkhnechonskneftegaz – 1st place
- Samaraneftegaz – 2nd place
- Angarsk Petrochemical Company – 3rd place
