Rosneft Opens a Corporate Training Centre in Tomsk

Rosneft’s research and planning institute in Tomsk has opened a corporate training centre specialising in petroleum engineering to systematically develop engineers’ professional competencies and improve the quality of engineering solutions in the area of field development.

Engineers from the Company’s subsidiaries will participate in training programmes covering key areas of design and survey work, ranging from comprehensive design and development of automation systems to the construction of facilities in the harsh climatic conditions of the Far North. The plan is to train 900 specialists in 2026.

At the training centre located at Rosneft’s largest complex, participants will receive hands-on training in a professional environment and gain the skills needed to create complex engineering projects for the oil and gas industry.

In addition, the centre will prepare project managers and chief engineers for an independent qualification assessment for inclusion in the National Association of Designers and Surveyors register.

Teaching staff at the centre will be corporate experts with unique experience gained during the development of Rosneft’s largest oil and gas fields. Upon completion of the training, employees will receive state-recognised certificates of advanced professional education.

The centre will serve as a platform for sharing knowledge and innovations, as well as for fostering a unified corporate culture of quality and safety at every stage of the complex process of project engineering.
