Rosneft presents employment opportunities to students at the Career Week in Krasnoyarsk

Rosneft subsidiaries operating in the Krasnoyarsk Krai – RN-Vankor, Slavneft-Krasnoyarskneftegaz and the Achinsk Refinery – took part in the Career Week organised by the M.F. Reshetnev Siberian State University of Science and Technology.

Students from one of Siberia’s leading universities met with key local employers in the industry. The oil industry professionals arranged lectures, presentations, poster sessions, interactive activities and job fairs.

Young professionals from RN-Vankor – former graduates of Reshetnev University – met with students from the departments of oil and gas, mechanical engineering and chemical technology to discuss the induction programme for young professionals, career development opportunities and the work of the company’s Youth Council.

The students were particularly interested in an interactive quiz on professional topics relating to oil production technologies, the characteristics of oil fields and industry innovations.

At the job fair, oil industry representatives provided students with detailed information on in-demand professions, the terms and conditions of work placements and internships, as well as employment opportunities, social benefits and the specific aspects of working in the North.

The Krasnoyarsk Krai is one of the country’s largest oil-producing regions, and is home to leading Rosneft enterprises, which explains young people’s keen interest in careers within the oil and gas industry. The active involvement of the oil industry representatives in career events organised by universities in Krasnoyarsk and other regions is yielding tangible results, thanks to lively dialogue, the exchange of information and the selection of the best candidates for roles within the region’s enterprises.

Every year, the best graduates from universities and technical colleges join the RN-Vankor team. The enterprise has employed around 2,000 young professionals since it first started operating. This year, 600 aspiring oil and gas professionals will have the opportunity to put their theoretical knowledge into practice and gain experience at the fields of the Vankor cluster. Every year, hundreds of students from the country’s leading universities and technical colleges carry out internships at the enterprise’s sites. More than 4,000 Russian students have completed work placements and pre-graduation internships at RN-Vankor during the time it has been operating in the region.

To ensure that Rosneft’s enterprises are staffed with qualified personnel, a comprehensive programme for recruitment and support for vocational and higher education institutions has been in place in the Krasnoyarsk Krai for several years. The project’s key educational partners include twelve educational institutions in the region, including Siberian Federal University. More than 30 specialist study programmes have been developed to meet the needs of the region’s oil industry. Furthermore, the training of personnel for the region’s oil industry is carried out as part of the federal ‘Professionalitet’ project, with the active participation of Rosneft’s subsidiaries.

For reference:

Rosneft is represented in the Krasnoyarsk Krai by major enterprises such as RN-Vankor, the East Siberian Oil and Gas Company, Slavneft-Krasnoyarskneftegaz, the Achinsk Refinery, RN-Burenie, RN-KrasnoyarskNIPIneft, RN-Krasnoyarsknefteprodukt and others, which are among the most attractive employers in the region.
