Rosneft Sponsors Sretensky Monastery Choir Tour with New Programme “We Have Only One Russia”
The Sretensky Monastery Choir, with the support of Rosneft, is commencing a new concert tour with the musical performance “We Have Only One Russia”. The band's premiere performance is scheduled for 2 April in Ufa.
Rosneft has supported the Sretensky Monastery Choir for over 10 years. During this time, the band has enjoyed great success on many concert tours. Past performances include “Unholy Saints”, “The Romanovs”, “Russia: Move Forward!”, “Masterpieces of World Culture”, “Life”, “Songs of Our Parents”, and “To the Great Victory”.
The new concert programme, “We Have Only One Russia”, pays tribute to the great history, spiritual strength and cultural heritage of our Motherland. The audience is immersed in an atmosphere of love for the Motherland and remembrance of their ancestors' heroic deeds through the powerful sound of choral music. At the concerts, the audience will hear the choir perform well-known and much-loved songs such as “There is only a moment”, “The beautiful is far away”, “Everything will pass”, “Call me softly by name”, “The Horse”, “Hope” and many others.
The performance is based on stories told by the choir members. The stories are elegantly interwoven with outstanding musical accompaniment, portraying Russia as a nation whose strength lies in its people, faith and culture. The concept was conceived and directed by Fyodor Stepanov, director of the Sretensky Monastery Choir and composer. Furthermore, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a performance by Company staff members, who are the winners and runners-up of the Energy of Talents corporate creative festival.
The tour programme includes concerts in 11 cities across the regions of the Company's operations, including Samara, Novokuybyshevsk, Krasnoyarsk, Neftekamsk, Nizhnevartovsk, Nefteyugansk, Nyagan, Ryazan, Tuapse and Saratov. The tour is scheduled to conclude on 31 August with a concert in Krasnoyarsk.
