Rosneft Publishes Its 2012 Sustainability Report with A+ GRI Guidelines Application Level
The 2012 Rosneft Sustainability Report has been prepared in accordance with the international Sustainability Reporting Guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). It scores the highest GRI guidelines application level of A+. The publication of non-financial reporting is a voluntary initiative of Rosneft that demonstrates its corporate governance and enhances reporting transparency.
Compared with the previous reports, the 2012 document discloses more indicators. All the reported data was independently audited by Ernst & Young, one of the leading international auditors. The auditors have acknowledged the highest application level (A+) of the GRI guidelines.
The Report discloses aspects of the Company’s activities such as occupational health and safety, environmental and industrial safety, social and economic development of the subsidiaries, their impact on the local communities, social policy and staff development, interaction with public authorities and other stakeholders, charity and social activities of the Company in the regions of operation.
The Report is addressed to shareholders, representatives of public and municipal authorities, employees, partners and customers, NGOs and environmental organizations, indigenous peoples and minorities, representatives of scientific and educational institutions, the media, and others.
