Rosneft and WWF-Russia Sign MoU on Environment Protection

Rosneft and the WWF-Russia sealed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation and constructive dialogue on nature conservation during the St Petersburg Economic Forum on 21 June.

A recognized leader of the Russian oil and gas industry and one of the largest oil companies in the world, Rosneft attaches paramount importance to environmental safety. The company assumes responsibility for compliance with the most stringent standards of ecological safety of production processes and prevention of any negative environmental impact.

For instance, Rosneft is devising a set of measures on the protection and conservation of unique Arctic eco-systems and animals as part of its Arctic projects development. Understanding its responsibility for ecology, Rosneft is looking forward to an open and direct dialog and active interaction with Russian and international environmental organizations. Cooperation with WWF-Russia is a critical driver of its ecological initiatives.
