Rosneft Signed Cooperation Agreement with Chechen Republic
Chairman of Rosneft Management Board Igor Sechin and Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov signed a cooperation agreement within the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The parties agreed to provide shared financing of activities aimed at enhancing the level of efficient associated petroleum gas use. The parties will also take necessary actions for replacement of the hydrocarbon mineral resource base in line with the existing license agreements.
Rosneft also signed a supplementary agreement with the Chechen Republic providing for financial assistance to the republic in order to construct and reconstruct the hydrotechnical and anti-flood facilities in the territory of republic, as well as the infrastructure facilities designed to ensure environmental and sanitary security.
The agreements reached will promote comprehensive development of Chechen Republic as well as creation of favorable conditions for Rosneft business operations in the region.
