Rosneft and Samara Region develop cooperation
During the XX St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Rosneft Chief executive officer Igor Sechin and Samara Region Governor Nikolai Merkushkin signed a Supplementary Agreement in elaboration of the Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Samara Region and the Company signed in May 2014.
The new document is focused on further development of the welfare in the Samara Region through the implementation of social projects and programs in the region.
Rosneft and the Government of Samara Region already have positive experience of joint major social projects in the region including those in the area of sports promotion. For instance, the first in Syzran 5,900 m2 modern ice arena area was opened in May this year and the funds for its construction were donated by the Company. Currently, another ice arena is being constructed in Novokuybyshevsk; reconstruction of the Ice Arena in Samara is planned.

Samaraneftegaz produces oil and gas at the Region’s territory; the region hosts three major oil refineries – Kuibyshev, Novokuibyshevsk and Syzran refineries, as well as Novokuibyshevsk Oils and Additives Plant and Novokuibyshevsk Petrochemical Company. Petroleum products are being marketed by Samaranefteproduct and Samara-Terminal.
