Rosneft and Tyumen Region develop cooperation in import substitution and social sphere

Rosneft and Tyumen Region signed the agreement on cooperation in import substitution and support of social projects at the XXI St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The document was signed by Rosneft Chief Executive Officer Igor Sechin and the Governor of Tyumen Region Vladimir Yakushev.

The document envisages that the Company would use a potential of industrial enterprises and research organizations of the region in projects implemented under the import substitution program.   Equipment advanced manufacturing research and unique technologies will undergo tests at the Rosneft facilities for their further commercial application.  The parties agreed to prepare a list of equipment and technologies for testing as part of the import substitution and innovative activity.

This opens up new opportunities for the development of the Tyumen enterprises and allows improving performance of the Rosneft subsidiaries in the region of the Company’s operations.  

Under this agreement, the Company will also help the Region with implementation of the significant social projects aimed to support Indigenous small-numbered peoples of the North, develop region's social infrastructure in the area of health care, education, children, youth and mass sports and physical training.
