Rosneft and Tver Region expand cooperation in social sphere
Rosneft and Tver Region signed an agreement on financing of social projects in the region at the XXI St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The document was signed by Rosneft Chief Executive Officer Igor Sechin and the Governor of Tver Region Igor Rudenya.
Under the document, the parties plan to join efforts in implementation of significant projects and programs aimed at the development of the social sphere of Tver region.
In 2017, the Company will take part in implementation of the educational park development project in the settlement Khotilovo-2 and execution of the restoration and renovation works in the Olginsky monastery. The parties will also continue joint activities related to the development of the Rosneft retail network and roadside service in the Region.
Commenting on the agreement signed, Igor Sechin said: “I would like to emphasize the high level of relations with the Government of Tver region. We repeatedly discussed the progress of key projects implementation under the cooperation agreement. Our joint work is of significant social importance for the residents and furthers the development of the regional economy”.

The cooperation agreement between the Government of Tver Region and Rosneft was signed in April 2016. The Company provided assistance with the construction of the kindergarten in the settlement Khotilovo-2. A new building of the kindergarten, which conforms to all contemporary standards, accommodates 100 seats.
Rosneft continues to develop its own retail network in the region. It is assumed that the 6 new retail sites will be built by 2019 as part of the multi-functional road service zones on the express road M-11 Moscow – Saint Petersburg, federal highways М-10 Russia, М-9 Baltia throughout the joint working. Rosneft plans to complete a rebranding of the 10 retail sites located in the region by the end of 2017.
