Rosneft and PTT Public Company Limited sign long-term contract for mutual oil supply
RTSA, the subsidiary company of PJSC Rosneft, and PTT Public Company Limited (Thailand) signed the long-term oil sale and purchase contract for mutual supplies of up to 200 mmt till 2037 at the XXI St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Rosneft will enter one of the most attractive energy markets in the Asia-Pacific region due to cooperation with the largest energy company of Thailand. Steady development of the kingdom economy allows forecasting further increase in hydrocarbons demand.
"The signed contract with PTT is an important step for the Company operation expansion in the region with fast economy growth. Cooperation with the leader of Thailand energy industry has high potential that can be realized not only in the oil supply area but in different key sectors such as upstream, LNG trading etc." said Rosneft Chief Executive Officer Igor Sechin.

The long-term contract is signed to extend the cooperation agreement between Rosneft and PTT Public Company Limited dated September 2, 2016 concluded in the course of II Eastern Economic Forum. The agreement provides for study of joint business opportunities in the following areas: upstream, downstream, trading, LNG, as well as natural gas preparation, storage and logistics.
The document is a base for development of partnership with the leader of energy industry of Thailand and allows Rosneft to enter the energy market of the kingdom - one of the most dynamically developing economies in Asia-Pacific region.
