Rosneft and Yakutia Enhance Cooperation in social development

As part of XXII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Rosneft and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) signed an agreement on cooperation in the social development sphere.

The document was signed by Igor Sechin, Chief Executive Officer of Rosneft, and Egor Borisov, Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

The document contemplates cooperation of the parties while implementing joint social projects aiming at integrated social and economic development of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). For example, a new teaching and laboratory building of the Junior Academy of Science of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) designed for 150 students will be constructed with the financial support of Rosneft.

The Junior Academy of Science activity is aimed at involving intellectually gifted children into  research  and development,  thus promoting the  build-up of scientific capability and training of highly qualified personnel.

For reference:

Rosneft Oil Company subsidiary, OOO Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazodobycha is operating at 10 license areas in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Curreently, the subsidiary is developing the Central block and Kurungsky LA of Srednebotuobinskoye oil and gas condensate field, one of the three largest assets within the East Siberian oil cluster.
