Rosneft Expands Cooperation in Research and Technology
Rosneft at the XXII Saint-Petersburg International Economic Forum signed a trilateral Research and Technology Cooperation Agreement with Politecnico di Torino (Italy) and Gubkin State Oil and Gas University. The document was signed by Chief Executive Officer of Rosneft Igor Sechin, Rector of Politecnico di Torino Guido Saracco and Rector of Gubkin State Oil and Gas University Viktor Martynov.
The agreement provides opportunities for implementation of joint research, technical and innovational project programs and defines main conditions in the following areas:
- Geology
- Development of unconventional hydrocarbon reserves
- Environmental and industrial safety
- Disposal of oil sludge
- Offshore projects
- Automation
- Robotics
As part of the project, the parties will use their own technologies, improve them, and develop new solutions. All projects will be implemented in the interests of Rosneft.
For reference:
On 17.05.2017 in Sochi Rosneft entered into two trilateral Agreements with MGIMO (Moscow Institute of International Relations), Gubkin State Oil and Gas University and Politecnico di Torino.
Under the Agreements joint programs for additional oil and gas operations education and MBA programs are provided for Rosneft employees. Also the Agreements envisage conducting of joint research&development and experimental design activities; sharing knowledge and experience, including in the area of technology and innovations development.
